I have to say, this is by far the best purchase I have made on Amazon to date. Worth every single penny I paid, and then some. It is large and roomy, and the two African Grey Parrots are THRILLED with their new house. If you are on the fence about this one, hop off of it and order! You will NOT be disappointed. The one and ONLY thing I could have wanted in addition to this cage would have been better assembly instructions. The ones provided were sadly lacking. It absolutely takes two people to assemble this. The parts to this cage are quite bulky until you get enough of it assembled to allow it to support it’s own weight, so do yourself a favor and invite a friend to help. Other than that, I could not be happier with this cage. Great delivery guy too!! He even helped me get it in the house, and helped me load an older cage in my car for delivery to a neighbor, (to make room for the “new and improved”). Wonderful experience all the way around!

This cage is an excellent value! I have been looking for parrot cages locally and found that smaller cages were going for the same price as this larger cage. (even when the shipping charge is added) The shipping fee is a bargain considering that the documentation, I received, indicated a shipment weight of 180 pounds! Even if I had found a similar cage, locally, I would not have been able to bring it home and would likely have to pay extra to have the cage delivered anyway. Assembly would still be required since the assembled cage is BIG.

The cage comes well packed in two boxes that are strapped together. The cardboard boxes are extra thick and my cage arrived in perfect condition.

There are NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS. All that is provided is a pictorial diagram and a parts list with identification. The lack of instructions WAS NOT A PROBLEM. Just a look at the picture shows how the cage goes together. Assembly went well and with no problems whatsoever.

ONE IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION is to assemble this cage in the room where you intend to keep it because it WILL NOT fit through most doorways once it is assembled!

NOTE: you must supply YOUR OWN PARROT(S) as desired. :-)

The bottom line, literally, is that is a great cage and a great value!

We are happy with the cage. It was however really difficult to put together. Great price and quick shipment. This was the only merchant on amazon that actually had the cage in stock. Thank you very much.

This cage was easy to put together, the bird loves it and it is easy to keep clean. The delivery company will only deliver to the end of driveway. You need help getting it off the truck.

The Xtreme cages are very well priced given the size, and the design is pretty good, but the construction is fairly mediocre. The food bowl holders are flimsy and ours arrived all bent up. The bowls themselves are lightweight plastic. The biggest problem, in my opinion, is that the main panels are attached together with just a few easily accessible (and easily removable) bolts with nuts, so if your bird is at all mechanically inclined, you might come home and find your bird buried under a pile of disassembled cage pieces. We use ours as vacation cages, but wouldn’t use them as primary cage.
