Hi I also have a female 7 month old Ekkie but I also have a 7 year old male Ekkie .. They are so different personality wise... Mine does the same thing gets as close as she can to my neck I have let her get up on my shoulder but only if I allow her to I will start low on my hand then sit with her on the couch and talk to her tell her a story like shes 2 and ask her stuff I let her mouth my finger and if she gets to rough I tell her no be nice and she lets up on the pressure she doesnt know yet that that hurts .. I will hold her close to me face to my chest and slowly stroke her back and when she turns to my hand to try and bite I go lower on her back and say no be nice and then she is more tolerant to it and she will mouth my fingers.. I wouldnt try any type of training now she is too young and potty training when she is ready she will do it on her own trust me.. Let her ride around with you on your hand not your shoulder right now as she is biting you .. let her sit on the couch and chill on the arm while your reading to her.. Eventually you will start to recognize her body language and know when she has to go potty ... Then just ask her like a child ... I think if you just stop trying to train her and enjoy her being a baby things will work out just fine... Play with her with her toys gets some newspaper god they love to chew that up make a game out of it ... She has to trust you before she is going to allow you to do anything with her ... The females are alot more difficult than the males but once she trusts you she will be a wonderful girl... Good Luck !!!

At 7 months old trying to potty train her ..well.. that might be better to come later..Sounds like you and your girl need to bond first. She is at an age where at least 1-2 hrs a day just spending "one- on- one" time is needed for her security..She needs to feel secure in your presence..and when that is accomplished she won't be so fearful in her surroundings. Once she and you (or others/humans if you keep her well socialized) have establish a bonded relationship..then the special training can be started. the fancy stuff can wait..My Too sits at the table with me and is trained to potty on paper when I lift him away from the table--but he is 20 yrs old..lol

Often birds are scared when they are approached with something new. She feels safe on your shoulder. You might try putting the stand next to her cage for a while so she can get used to it. Also, without the stand in the room - take her in there and just let her hang out on your shoulder so she can get used to the room. Some birds take a little longer getting adjusted to new things - especially babies. Just be patient and keep at it.

Best of luck.
