    There seriously one of my fav. Big birds. When im older I want one of them or a African grey.

    OMG I FEEL THE SAME ABOUT MY SUPERB PARROT, NOT MANY PPL HAVE ONE AND ITS HARD FINDING INFO ON THE INTERNET ABOUT HAVING THEM AS PETS, BUT IT MAKES YOU FEEL SPECIAL THAT NOT MANY PPL HAVE THE SAME KIND.

    Here in Australia they are becoming quite a popular choice for a pet, and the price of them has come down a lot.

    While birds such as greys and macaws still range from $5000 – $20,000 here (there are few breeders and birds cannot be imported so they are hard to come by), eclectus are now readily available pretty much everywhere, and quite cheap in terms of exotic parrots, at around the $800 mark for a hand raised baby.

    As far as exotic parrots go in terms of availibility and price here, eclectus are becoming very popular.
