How can I convince my dad to let me have an eclectus parrot?

I have been wanting a pet for several years, and I have mentioned many types of animals to him. I later figured out that I didn’t want those animals anymore, so I found the eclectus parrot. I have been doing a ton of research on them, and I know basically everything I would need to know about taking care of them. The only thing that is left is to convince my dad! :( I have already tried to do this, but he told me that there are three good reasons not to get one: 1. The smell 2. The mess 3. Allergies. I of course, being persistent and all… I found really easy solutions to all of those problems. I sat down and talked to him for 25 minutes straight (!) about the bird, how great it is, and all that stuff. I’m a really responsible person, and older too. How else can I convince my dad to let me get this bird W/O bugging him???? *rips hair out… (theoretically)*… THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME!!! :’(
